The Practice

Choo Gim Wah Architect is an innovative, and design-driven practice established to provide architectural, and professional construction-related services.

Our practice is driven by the pursuit of quality design, and sensitivity to the climate of the environment. We believe that every small element of a building is important, and we strive to provide quality design details that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

The Principal

The principal, Choo Gim Wah, holds an Architecture Master's Degree from Miami University and is a member of the Malaysia Institute of Architects (PAM) and Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM).

With over 20 years of experience in the industry, Choo is an accomplished architect with extensive design experience in private residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. He has particular expertise in designing homes on steep slopes with minimum disturbance to the natural landscape.

In 2021, Choo won a silver medal in the PAM Awards 2021 in the Single Residential Category for a private home built on a steep slope in a beautiful forest in Malaysia.

Choo is an active speaker at the Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM) and other institutions. He has conducted many design workshops for these institutions, including workshops on design requirements for disabled people.
